January	Ariel's Water Polo Team	Ariel was on the Jr. Varsity Waterpolo team at her high school this year.
February	Anza-Borrego Desert with Robin & Carrie	In February, I took two trips to the desert. One with Robin and Carrie; one with Dave. Robin, Carrie and I spent the first day hiking to a Calcite mine up in the hills east of Borrego Springs. Our plan had been to cook dinner at Carrie's yurt (which according to Wikipedia is "a portable, felt-covered, wood lattice-framed dwelling structure (originally) used by nomads in the steppes of Central Asia") but we were so tired by the end of the hike that we opted for Mexican food in Borrego Springs and a pitcher of margaritas. After dinner we drove to the yurt and spent the night.
February	Anza-Borrego Desert with Dave	A couple of weeks after my trip with Carrie & Robin, Dave and I spent a weekend in Anza Borrego... hiking and relaxing. We visited the same Mexican restaurant that I'd gone to with Robin & Carrie... only this time we split a pitcher of Sangria. Mmmmm mmmm... my new favorite drink!
May	Jesse Graduates!!!	In May, Jesse graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University. Woo hoo! Most of the family from Pennsylvania came out to visit as well as some from the LA area. It was quite the group!
May	Graduation Party	After the ceremony, everyone drove up to our house in Escondido for a graduation party for our girl. We are all so proud! A few days later, Jesse left California and headed back to Pennsylvania. We sure miss her!
