Jan	Cambria	For Christmas, Robin gave me a trip to Cambria! It included staying at our favorite hotel, the Sea Otter Inn... and dinner at one of my favorite restaurants - Robin's. Their Thai Green Curry is awesome!
Feb	Camping in Anza Borrego desert	George and I spent 4 days camping and geocaching in the Anza Borrego desert. We found 4 caches while we were there and camped in 3 gorgeous locations.
March	Borrego Springs	Dave and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Palm Canyon Resort in Borrego Springs. We hiked out to the Oasis while we were there (us and about 1000 other people!). The weather was beautiful, and we timed it so that the sun was just going behind the hills as we started the hike back (which made it much cooler than the hike there!).
March	Dave's Glider Ride	For Dave's birthday, I gave him an aerobatic glider ride at Sky Sailing in Warner Springs.
June	Susan & Lizzy's graduation	Dave and I went back to Pennsylvania to see Susan & Lizzy graduate from high school. Click here for an overview of the festivities, or go straight to the part you're interested in: Pati's house and visit with mom Jenny's house Susan & Lizzy's graduation
July	Joyce & Larry's Wedding	In early July, I attended a bridal shower for my friend Joyce. Then Dave & I both attended the wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony, officiated by Malaya Rider -- who was the leader of the diet group where I met Joyce and Gina.
July	Alex's Birthday Party	When I started dating Dave, a big family and lots of friends came along with the package. Alex is the daughter of Dave's daughter's best friend... and Dave's surrogate granddaughter. She just turned eight, and celebrated with a pool party. The guests included Dave's daughter Dawn, her husband Sam, and their kids, Ariel and Sebastian.
Aug	Dave's niece gets married	Dave and I flew back to Ohio to attend his niece Amie's wedding. I got to meet ALL of his family, which includes Dave's mom, his 6 siblings... their spouses and their kids. Made for quite the gathering!
Aug	Jesse starts college!	Jesse started classes at Point Loma Nazarene University. Pati came out for 5 days to attend the student/parent orientation and get Jesse settled in her new home. The orientation kept her so busy, we barely had time for any visiting. On Pati's last day here, the family gathered at my house to visit with Pati and welcome Jess to California.
Oct	Pumpkin carving	Jesse, Dave and I prepare for Halloween by carving up some scary pumpkins.
